Kids Skate Free Club
Join the Kids Skate Free Club at Kate’s Skating Rinks!
Give your kids the gift of fun, fitness, and freedom on wheels! The Kids Skate Free Club is a nationwide program that allows children aged 12 and under to enjoy roller skating—absolutely free—at participating rinks, including ours!
For just $4.99 per year, per child, your family can enjoy two free skating passes each week through the MyHownd app. It’s an affordable and exciting way to keep kids active and entertained, while creating lasting memories on the rink.
Whether your child is a first-time skater or a seasoned pro, the Kids Skate Free Club is the perfect way to roll into fun all year long!
Please Note: Kids Skate Free passes are valid for children 12 years old and younger. Skate rental is an additional $5, and an adult must accompany all children. Passes cannot be combined with other offers, special events, group rates, or birthday party packages. Access to the Play Area requires an additional $5 fee. Passes are only valid during the times listed on the pass and are not valid for New Year’s Eve events.
Indian Trail
- Tuesdays: 12pm to 8pm
- Wednesdays: 12pm–8pm
- Thursdays (During Summer) – 12pm to 5pm
- Friday: 5pm–9pm
- Saturday: 11am–1pm (Summer Only)
- Sunday: 1pm–5pm
- Pass is not valid on New Year’s Eve events, Home School Skates or Stroll and Roll Events, or other special events
Gastonia
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Fridays: 12pm to 8pm
- Saturdays 11am to 1pm (Summer Only)
- Sundays 1pm to 5pm
- Pass is not valid on New Year’s Eve events, Home School Skates or Stroll and Roll Events, or other special events
How it Works
Select a Rink & Join the Club
- Select either Indian Trail or Gastonia
- Please register each child with their birth date.
- Pay the annual membership club fee of $4.99 per child.
- Upon completing member registration & payment, you’ll receive an email receipt.
Access Your Passes with MyHownd
- Download the MyHownd app and sign up using the email address that you used to register for Kids Skate Free
- Your passes will show up in the Memberships section and in your MyHownd Wallet.
- Kids Skate Free passes are only valid for one week.
- Please note that wes have age limits and passes will only be generated for eligible children within 48 hours of signup.
Redeem Your Passes & Have Fun!
- When you arrive at your skate center, open your MyHownd app, activate the pass, and all our staff to mark it as redeemed while at the front desk.
- After you redeem it, it will show up in your redeemed promos.
- Now have a blast and enjoy all the fun and entertainment that our skating center has to offer!
