This camp is designed for girls ages 12-17 ONLY and an all female staff will lead the way!  This is the regions first and ONLY junior roller derby camp and will commence on Saturday, Feb. 4th and run 8 weeks, ending with a bout on Saturday, March 24th!

Skaters are encouraged to get registered quickly as possible because space is limited for this inaugural camp.  The camp will be run by retired Charlotte Speed Demon skater, Melinda Bumgardner.  Throughout the camp other members of the Charlotte Speed Demons will be on hand to help the girls with their skills and help them to understand what derby is all about.

What is a 2nd you ask? Well, a 2nd is a wheel that is 100% skateable but does not meet ‘Grade A’ status by Radar. There may be an air pocket in the urethane on the backside of the wheel or a slight discoloration on the wheel itself. Our 2nds are as close to the real thing as possible!! We inspect everyone and throw out unskateable wheels leaving only the best! If you haven’t been able to afford some of these wheels before, now is your chance!

The Dart skate comes in at a suggested retail of $99 and can be found at www.katesonlineproshop.com for purchase. This price point makes it extremely affordable to the serious but cautious skater when it come to price. This Riedell Dart skate is offered in 5 different colors: Black, Aqua, Royal Blue, Green and Purple. So far the Purple and Green Dart Skate have caught the eye of the target market, Tweens!

With a 62mm 93a Dart wheel, and a comfortable fitting boot, you can’t go wrong. The Dart boot has a look resembling that of the R3, including the velcro ankle strap, but with a reinforced toe resembling that of Riedell’s RW Volt skate. This hybrid skate in our opinion could be the next big thing at this price point!

Keep in mind when you are sizing yourself in the Wicked you will typically go DOWN a size at least.  Most skaters come from the R3 Derby package and we see that they go down a full size when trying this skate on.  This is something that most internet sites and rinks won’t even tell you when you go to purchase so make sure you size correctly!!

We offer fitting at both our locations for a small fee, which is applied to your purchase if bought through us. We know how difficult it may be to find the proper high end skate.

When looking at an Antik or a Wicked it is difficult to size but most other skates reflect a man’s size. So, women, GO DOWN ONE SIZE!
