Your first class is free so come at the first of the
month or the end of the month for your best value on
the Club Card.

you are interested in individualized instruction and/or
you want to become a member of Kate's artistic team,

Kate's
artistic team practices several days per week, performs twice yearly in
special shows at the rink, and competes across the Southeast in
figures, dance, singles, and precision team. Each year, Team
Kate's sends numerous skaters to the national championships. It
will be held this year in Lincoln, Nebraska. Fund Raisers
The
team holds several fund raisers throughout the year to defray
competition expenses for the team. The biggest and most fun are
the shows that are organized by our coach, Nekoe Wilson. We are
blessed with a creative and FUN coach who really knows how to put
together an entertaining program! The program is held just before
Christmas. Competitions
Skaters
wishing to compete must register with the national office by purchasing
an amateur card. A copy of the birth certificate is required to
register the first time but does not have to be sent in each year when
the card is renewed. The competitive season runs from September through
August. Invitationals
are held throughout the skating season, culminated in the summer with
the Regional and National competitions. Our region, the Southeastern
region, is "open", meaning you do not have to qualify to skate
Regionals by placing at the State level. A skater must qualify to skate
Nationals by placing in the Regional competition. The team travels
quite a bit in the competitive season: Hampton VA, Christiana DE,
Donora PA, Orlando FL, Greensboro NC, Columbia SC, Conyers GA, etc.
Regionals this year are in Maryland. Come join the FUN! Regional breakdown
The
United States is divided into Regions. Each region qualifies a maximum
of 3 skaters per event for the USAC (standard) events and a maximum of
4 skaters per event for the Junior Olympic (JO) events. The official USA Roller Skating page has a great regional map. To view it, click here
